About This Must Be The Plate

I started This Must Be The Plate in 2022.  I kept seeing these beautiful plates in charity shops & car boot sales, which were really expensive when they were at the height of their popularity in the 80s & 90s, unloved & now considered worthless.

An antiques dealer once told me that he considered plates like this to be the biggest scam of the era because people paid a small fortune for them & they're now worth nothing.

I love all music but especially Talking Heads (hence the name) & I have very eclectic tastes but I rarely listen to any music which was made after the year 2000 & I am absolutely fine with that!!

Whilst consumerism is at an all time high, you and I are buying pre-loved, recycling & playing a tiny part in saving the planet.  Wherever possible & where it makes sense to do so I use recycled packaging for the plates - don't want them getting damaged in transit!
